About the Institute

The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest is a Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical Right, founded in 1990 by Monsignor Gilles Wach in Gricigliano, Italy. Dedicated to the honour of God and the sanctification of priests through the traditional Roman liturgy.

Present in Ireland since 2010, the Institute now serves the faithful in four locations — Belfast, Limerick, Galway and Ardee — with daily Masses, confessions, catechesis and devotions. Over 115 priests serve worldwide.
